Born in Japan, where she had worked as a stylist for Roman Yoshichu in Tokyo, Yoko has lived in France for several years now. She first developed her sensibility for haute couture at Ted Lapidus, before moving to Paris-based trend consulting agency Sacha Pacha as new trends coordinator.
Yoko studied design and painting in Paris’ School of Fine Arts (Beaux-Arts de Paris).
Her professional path and the experiences she has gained along the way have revealed to her the energy of pictorial art, which allows her to vividly reproduce the atmosphere of her dreams and inspirations.
The serene and volcanic land she originally comes from grace her work with meaning and motivate her every single day. Her innate tenderness and sensibility blend seamlessly with elegance and allegory.
The creation of unfettered movement, rhythmic and tuneful – this is Yoko’s universal representation of spirit and way of life. The enigma of the Universe is expressed through the power of colours, of black and white, and the mysterious, bursting fusion of watercolours and Chinese ink.
The combination of tenderness and energy give rise to potent emotions which go on to adorn her art with calm albeit potentially tumultuous drive.
Today, Yoko’s art makes part of private collections in France.
