From a young age, Imad Habbab gravitated toward art, joining professional classes and workshops in Damascus, Syria, to explore artistic concepts and techniques.

He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Damascus in 2011, developing a passion for Impressionism that continues to inform his rich, opulent color palette and conceptual approach.

In 2012, amid the outbreak of the crisis in Syria, Imad moved to Lebanon. There, he began his Explosion series, drawing on memories to explore the tension between the breadth of human thought and the fragments of personal experience.

By 2014, he had developed the Civilian Spectrum series, a distinctive exploration of identity, spatial relationships, and the traces individuals leave behind in their environments.

Seeking new inspiration and opportunities to expand his palette, Imad relocated to Istanbul in 2015. He is now based in Belgium, where he has participated in numerous exhibitions and performances across the Middle East, Europe, and the United States.
