The alchemy of the moment describes the artistic work of Christina Drakos. A citizen of the world, Christina developed from a young age a sensibility for colours, materials, shapes, and space.
Travelling internationally by profession, as the owner of Drakos DMC, she devoted herself to photography. Her photographic work has been awarded an “Excellence FIAP” distinction by the International Federation of Photographic Art.
Her work has been exhibited worldwide in collective shows and solo exhibitions in Paris, Athens, Bologna, Istanbul, Brussels, Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, and her native Cyprus.
Christina moved back to Paris in 2015, where she continued her studies in painting and drawing at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts. Her paintings have been displayed in many exhibitions since.
In July 2019, she was invited by the European Cultural Academy in Venice to participate in a collective project for the Venice Biennale within a select group of 27 artists, gallery owners, and international curators.
In February 2021, her work “Femmes Folles” was selected by the Société des Artistes Français to be exhibited at the famous Art Capital exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris.
The Journey, Angels of Light, Close Ups, Mother India; Christina is the author of books that celebrate the vitality of her art, bestowing upon it a spiritual dimension.
Throughout her artistic career, the proceeds from her art were donated to various charities.
Since 2013 she runs Sagapo Children’s Foundation (www.sagapo.org), which aims to promote and facilitate access to education for underprivileged children from any community.
Today, many of Christina’s works make part of private collections around the world.
